build log

This popped up in https://autobuilder.yocto.io/builders/nightly-oe-selftest/builds/818/steps/Running%20oe-selftest/logs/stdio (logfile attached)

There are multiple such errors in the bitbake-cookerdaemon.log (also attached). I am guessing this is related?

Interestingly, this is on centos7.yocto.io worker. I see a similar issue here:

https://bugzilla.yoctoproject.org/show_bug.cgi?id=11698

This is the SWAT build entry: https://wiki.yoctoproject.org/wiki/BuildLog#nightly_847_-_ross.2Fglibc_e4d3999e6d36e740442dfc520bdf3e5d78fbec3a for reference.

This build was on ross/glibc, so not sure how relevant this is (expected?), but thought it was probably worth checking in on in light of the similar previous issue on centos.

P.S. Other bug is https://bugzilla.yoctoproject.org/show_bug.cgi?id=11698
Comment 3 Stephano Cetola 2018-02-22 15:42:22 UTC
It's probable that older git versions do not have the -C option.
Comment 4 Richard Purdie 2018-02-22 15:43:19 UTC
Note the selftest failed due to a later test failure in eSDK which is a known issue with the glibc upgrade to 2.27. This bug is about the earlier non-fatal error shown during the selftest devtool tests.

Only applies to older versions of git so closing.
