Description Ross Burton 2018-04-11 13:37:23 UTC
GTK+ 2 is very dead. There are a few references in oe-core which are stopping it being moved to meta-oe:

packagegroup-core-lsb
Not a good reason, just needs to be documented that gtk+ is in meta-oe.

alsa-tools
Some tools are still using GTK+2. To be honest a lot of the tools are useless/niche anyway, so this can be reviewed.

gnome-themes-standard
The theme for GTK+2.

kernelshark
This actually uses GTK+2. Can we drop? Can we port?

fstests
packagegroup-core-tools-testapps
Ancient benchmarks which have little meaning these days, remove.

Bruce is happy with kernelshark being removed, and I've sent a patch to make it easy to turn off gtk+2 bits in alsa-tools.
