Tree/Branch: 1.1_M2 Commit: a62982ffb6b35acc70bb30a429fc854cf9a8873f With 1.1 M2 branch, when I select package avahi first and then select acl, then I deselect avahi, all packages in "image contents" will be removed, including acl. It may confuse user becasue they may not want to remove acl and acl has no dependency with avahi actually.
The issue also exists against latest master
It's related to package dependency, if I selected acpid or adt-installer, then deselect acpid or adt-installer won't cause the same problem. When select avahi, I noticed there seems be a circular dependency issue between avahi and libnss-mdns, if you deselect either, it claims the other depends on it
This is related to Tasks and Images using the same dependency and reverse dependency resolution as packages whereas we should not be doing reverse dependency checking for tasks so as not to confuse the user with this behaviour. Fixed in Master but didn't make it into M2.
I verified against latest master last night and issue still there as I mentioned in my update
Comment 2 sounds like a by-product of 1263, unless you are saying that deselecting Avahi results in empty image contents?
Sorry, comment invalid. Still to early. Bug reopened.

I think for this bug, selecting avahi->acl, then deselect avahi could work now, with commit 46cf540e63a848512617b20fd8492f81bfb2f704. But I find other issues, like hob hang if I deselect acl first. Will open another bug.
