Error log

Local software recently pulled from git with version 2.5
local.conf is setup with target qemux86_64.
bitbake bitbake core-image-full-cmdline fails with errors during run.do_rootfs due to missing sysklogd dependency.
Quick fix by:

Since I am absolutely new to this, I do not know if this is the intended way to go.

Just to summarise this is a debian rootfs generation issues and its not clear from the error why or how sysklogd would fix this:

ERROR: Unable to install packages. FWIW, I just built core-image-full-cmdline with opkg fine.
Comment 3 Ross Burton 2018-10-18 16:35:27 UTC
I also can't replicate this with the sumo branch. Can you replicate this, and if so can you share your local.conf?

build/conf/local.conf when replicating the described problem

I replicated the problem by reverting /meta/recipes-extended/images/core-image-full-cmdline.bb so that it doesn´t contain ksyslogd anymore.

Switching back to MACHINE?=qemux86-64

and executing "bitbake core-image-full-cmdline"

Old, most likely obsolete bug. Please reopen if still a problem with a recent release.
