Full log for 2.5.2 rc1

On running the ptest on 2.5.2 rc1, it is seen that a new tcl test is getting failed:

----------------------
Package Name:  tcl
----------------------

-PASS: http.test

+FAIL: http.test

------------------------
Total number of test cases passing in Previous release but failing in Current release: 1
------------------------

The full log for the ptest is attached for reference.

Works if the hostname is localhost, so this is due to name resolution.
Comment 2 Ross Burton 2018-12-13 15:44:41 UTC
Note that 13078 is for master only, and won't be backported to 2.5.x. This test case will fail unless you set hostname to localhost, or add the real hostname to /etc/hosts.

Please find the proxy and /etc/hosts information below:

Proxy Information:

export http_proxy=http://proxy.png.intel.com:911
export https_proxy=https://proxy.png.intel.com:912

/etc/hosts Information:

root@genericx86-64:~# vi /etc/hosts
127.0.0.1       localhost.localdomain           localhost

# The following lines are desirable for IPv6 capable hosts
::1     localhost ip6-localhost ip6-loopback
fe00::0 ip6-localnet
ff00::0 ip6-mcastprefix
ff02::1 ip6-allnodes
ff02::2 ip6-allrouters

Also, attached tcl module log.
Comment 5 Ross Burton 2018-12-14 10:41:55 UTC
root@genericx86-64:~# vi /etc/hosts
127.0.0.1       localhost.localdomain           localhost

The hostname is genericx86-64, but that doesn't have an entry in hosts. This is the problem, and what #13078 will fix in master.

Please try the suggestion from Ross to see if it resolve this issue
From Ross: this test case will fail unless you set hostname to localhost, or add the real hostname to /etc/hosts.

In first run : We have found this issue.
In second run : Issue has been resolved with same setup.
In third run: Issue has not see after adding hostname "genericx86-64" as shown below (Logs are attached for the same):
cat /etc/hosts
127.0.0.1       localhost.localdomain           localhost
127.0.0.1       genericx86-64                   genericx86-64
