Description Kai Ruhnau 2019-05-14 11:10:15 UTC
Pulseaudio without PACKAGECONFIG gsettings fails package QA. The install phase unconditionally creates a "/usr/libexec/pulse" folder that would contain the gconf-helper or gsettings-helper executables depending on config. Since the empty folder is not part of a package, QA fails with

ERROR: pulseaudio-12.2-r0 do_package: QA Issue: pulseaudio: Files/directories were installed but not shipped in any package:
  /usr/libexec
  /usr/libexec/pulse
Please set FILES such that these items are packaged. Alternatively if they are unneeded, avoid installing them or delete them within do_install.
pulseaudio: 2 installed and not shipped files. [installed-vs-shipped]

I have added the gsettings PACKAGECONFIG to my bbappend as a workaround

Can you send a patch to the list?
Comment 2 Sangeeta Jain 2021-01-26 08:15:05 UTC
Is this still an issue? Pulseaudio version in use now is 14.2 and i can bitbake it without any do_package error. Changing to Resolved, reopen if needed.
