Description Joshua Watt 2019-06-19 01:46:23 UTC
Profile Guided Optimizations current cause Python to build in a non-reproducible manner, and thus are disabled when reproducible builds are requested. This is obviously not ideal, as we would like to have both reproducible builds and enable PGO.
Comment 1 Ross Burton 2019-06-19 09:34:11 UTC
Any idea how this can be achieved? The profiling isn't deterministic...
Comment 2 Randy MacLeod 2021-06-24 15:25:23 UTC
Collecting sample data is not deterministic but we could store one set of data and re-use that...
Comment 3 Randy MacLeod 2023-10-24 14:24:30 UTC
Bulk move from 4.99 or 0.00 to 5.99
Comment 4 Randy MacLeod 2026-01-29 16:24:46 UTC
The profiling guidance is statistical so the collection of that data is the non-reproducible part.
