It could be an enhancement feature. When we save user customized bb file, it does not contain machine information. It may cause issue becasue we could save a customized package list with machine type routerstationpro and open the bb file with machine type qemux86. But for sure, some packages for routerstationpro are not suppposed for qemux86.

I need to verify this but I'm fairly certain in that circumstance the packages which aren't available for qemux86 would just be ignored.

We can't really (not reliably, at least) specify a MACHINE in the recipe. Nor would we want to, I think.

At the very least to add such functionality would be a feature enhancement request.

I'd like to close this as resolved wontfix because specifying a machine in a recipe file isn't something the underlying system supports, nor cares to.
