Since a few days, I've been trying to access my BeagleBone Black via serial on the poky image-core-full-cmdline (without any modification) The image is flashed on a microSD card which is inserted in the BeagleBone Black. I followed the following steps to create and flash the image: - git clone -b dunfell git://git.yoctoproject.org/poky - cd poky - MACHINE="beaglebone-yocto" bitbake core-image-full-cmdline - sudo dd if=tmp/deploy/images/beaglebone-yocto/core-image-full-cmdline-beaglebone-yocto.wic of=/dev/sdc bs=4096 Unfortunately, I'm stuck on a line that repeats itself every five minutes: INIT: Id "AMA0" respawning too fast: disabled for 5 minutes Here is the complete log: https://pastebin.com/Hc3aqE1p Thank you for your help
Additionally, here are the contents of the extlinux.conf (original) file, located in the boot partition at /extlinux : default Yocto label Yocto kernel /zImage fdtdir / append root=PARTUUID=01139ec5-02 rootwait console=ttyS0,115200
I don't have this problem with the core-image-minimal
I can't reproduce this on my side, we have set the SERIAL_CONSOLES_CHECK for this machine, so it should delete the nonexistent tty devices from the /etc/inittab in the first boot. Could you paste your /etc/inittab?
Guillaume Bonnet, could you provide more details about how to reproduce this issue?
Ping.
