Description Yann Dirson 2020-05-05 06:15:54 UTC
bitbake does not fail in warrior on a recipe with in its DEPENDS anything like:

DEPENDS += "texinfo-nativejunk-that-does-not-exist"

or, like it happened to me, a missing space in an _append, where the DEPENDS string up to then finished with "texinfo-native":

DEPENDS_append = "anypackage"

It seems we support regexs in ASSUME_PROVIDED (from https://git.openembedded.org/bitbake/commit/lib/bb/taskdata.py?id=efb0474231ed286073a5a5904094320da8cab28d). I've sent an email out asking if anyone uses this as it would be easiest to drop it which would be one way to fix this issue.
