Description Ross Burton 2020-06-15 02:51:43 UTC
When running install-buildtools on an aarch64 host:

INFO: Fetching buildtools installer
INFO: Fetching buildtools installer checksum
INFO: Checksum success
INFO: Making installer executable
Error: Incompatible SDK installer! Your host is aarch64 and this SDK was built for x86_64 hosts.
ERROR: Could not run buildtools installer
INFO: Setting up the environment
Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "./scripts/install-buildtools", line 333, in <module>
    ret = main()
File "./scripts/install-buildtools", line 281, in main
    install_dir, 'rb') as f:
FileNotFoundError: [Errno 2] No such file or directory: '/home/ec2-user/poky/buildtools/environment-setup-x86_64-pokysdk-linux'

Two problems:
1) No binary for aarch64 hosts
2) It should have stopped at the Error, and not tried to carry on going
Comment 1 Ross Burton 2020-06-16 07:17:04 UTC
Patches on the list.
Comment 2 Ross Burton 2020-06-18 07:47:25 UTC
- oe-core master has a fixed install-buildtools
- yocto-autobuilder-helper master builds aarch64 buildtools

Still need to backport those to dunfell.
