Description Nicolas Dechesne 2020-06-24 07:45:07 UTC
yocto-check-layer fails to parse/process LAYERDEPENDS, if LAYERDEPENDS specifies a version constraint such as:

LAYERDEPENDS_meta-python = "core (>= 12) openembedded-layer"

The output looks like that:

ERROR: Layer meta-python depends on (>= and isn't found.
ERROR: Layer meta-python depends on 12) and isn't found.
ERROR: Layer meta-python depends on openembedded-layer and isn't found.

Since we recently added this in dunfell, that means yocto-check-layer can't run for any layer (which uses meta-oe)

There is a patch from Nico on the mailing list as there is a function in bb.utils we can use for this.
