Description Elias Näslund 2020-10-13 04:22:45 UTC
Recipe for netbase 3.1 cannot fetch tar file from debian ftp due to it is not available.

It tries to fetch from http://ftp.debian.org/debian/pool/main/n/netbase/ but netbase_6.1.tar.xz does not exists.

I'm sorry if this bug is reported in the wrong place.

Doesn't the autobuilder have a check-uri/fetch-tests feature?
Does it miss this package?

Updated the bug title to reflect that the netbase version is 6.1, not 3.1

This should also be an issue on 3.2, since it also is at version netbase 6.1

Seems that upstream has replaced the 6.1 tarball with a new file with a different name and md5sum:

http://ftp.debian.org/debian/pool/main//n/netbase/netbase_6.1~bpo10+1.tar.xz
4fa7517285b4045ac0dc8dbf6730dd7a  netbase_6.1_bpo10+1.tar.xz

Seems that only the changelog file is different, so we should be fine using the new filename:

$ diff -r netbase-6.1 netbase-6.1~bpo10+1/
diff -r netbase-6.1/debian/changelog netbase-6.1~bpo10+1/debian/changelog

I'll submit a patch for master and will backport to dunfell once accepted.
