Description Richard Purdie 2021-03-01 22:14:48 UTC
ruby-ri-docs is not reproducible and shows up on some builds as failing to reproduce but not others. Still need to capture diffoscope on the autobuilder for this one.

We'd like to be able to remove the exclusion from the reproducibility selftest.
Comment 2 Thomas Perrot 2021-09-30 12:53:48 UTC
There are several issues in the Ruby makefiles that making the build non-reproducible:
- timestamp isn't fixed,
- linked object aren't ordered,
- and there are some date issue.
Comment 3 Thomas Perrot 2021-09-30 14:06:15 UTC
Patches are available in the Debian repository.
Comment 4 Alexandre Belloni 2021-10-05 18:32:27 UTC
Unfortunately, it did fail recently:

https://autobuilder.yoctoproject.org/typhoon/#/builders/118/builds/752/steps/12/logs/stdio

while this one was successful:

https://autobuilder.yoctoproject.org/typhoon/#/builders/118/builds/749

(both contain the fix and remove ruby-ri-docs from the exclusion list)

Comment 5 Alexandre Belloni 2021-10-21 08:00:35 UTC
Didn't reproduce, the last error was probably due to sstate-cache
Comment 7 Randy MacLeod 2022-01-06 15:58:40 UTC
The docs have been disalbed (hopefully temporarily) so lowering to a Medium priority.

We think we've disabled the doc generation as a work-around.
