From https://autobuilder.yoctoproject.org/typhoon/#/builders/80/builds/2111 Final error at the bottom is: 2021-05-19 18:25:13,603 - oe-selftest - INFO - RESULTS - runtime_test.TestImage.test_testimage_dnf: FAILED (10351.44s) Which appears to be caused by: NOTE: Running task 901 of 901 (/home/pokybuild/yocto-worker/oe-selftest-debian/build/meta/recipes-extended/images/core-image-full-cmdline.bb:do_testimage) NOTE: recipe core-image-full-cmdline-1.0-r0: task do_testimage: Started Traceback (most recent call last): File "/home/pokybuild/yocto-worker/oe-selftest-debian/build/meta/lib/oeqa/core/decorator/__init__.py", line 36, in wrapped_f return func(*args, **kwargs) File "/home/pokybuild/yocto-worker/oe-selftest-debian/build/meta/lib/oeqa/core/decorator/__init__.py", line 36, in wrapped_f return func(*args, **kwargs) File "/home/pokybuild/yocto-worker/oe-selftest-debian/build/meta/lib/oeqa/core/decorator/__init__.py", line 36, in wrapped_f return func(*args, **kwargs) [Previous line repeated 1 more time] File "/home/pokybuild/yocto-worker/oe-selftest-debian/build/meta/lib/oeqa/runtime/cases/dnf.py", line 33, in test_dnf_help self.dnf('--help') File "/home/pokybuild/yocto-worker/oe-selftest-debian/build/meta/lib/oeqa/runtime/cases/dnf.py", line 21, in dnf self.assertEqual(status, expected, message) AssertionError: 255 != 0 : dnf --help Write failed: Broken pipe

Reoccurrence https://autobuilder.yoctoproject.org/typhoon/#/builders/80/builds/2115/steps/14/logs/stdio oe-selftest-debian debian10-ty-3
For those two, we clearly see the SSH connection dying: https://autobuilder.yoctoproject.org/typhoon/#builders/72/builds/3538/steps/15/logs/stdio qa-extras2 ubuntu1804-ty-2 https://autobuilder.yoctoproject.org/typhoon/#builders/87/builds/2171/steps/14/logs/stdio oe-selftest-ubuntu ubuntu1804-ty-2 So I would close this bug as a duplicate of bug 14399 - testimage tests fails due to connectivity
Closing as likely caused by rcu stall hangs. Without the kernel logs we can't tell. We'll open new bugs if issues recur.
