Bitbake screen with the task counter stuck at 4

I´m using Poky from the current master branch (as of Oct. 4, 2021).

I have enable the SSTATE cache (and mirrors), so the output of many tasks is retrieved from the cache.

However, I noticed that the task counter in BitBake is stuck between 1 and 4 while the setscene tasks are being processed.

I find this confusing as this gives the impression that there is no progress for a pretty long time (at least 5 minutes?). However, you can see the task names changing, and eventually of course, the build completes.

See the attached screenshot.

Is this expected behaviour?

Cheers
Michael.

Richard proposed a solution that looks satisfactory. I tested it:
https://lists.openembedded.org/g/bitbake-devel/message/12739

Once it is merge, we should be able to close this bug.
Thanks Richard!
