While building core-image-minimal on the 'honister-3.4' tag of poky for tune-i586 (for the legacy kernel lab hands-on):

| checking whether CET can be enabled... no
| configure: error: i586-poky-linux-gcc  -m32 -march=i586  -Wdate-time --sysroot=/path/to/poky/build/tmp/work/i586-poky-linux/glibc/2.34-r0/recipe-sysroot doesn't support CET

The '--enable-cet' option is set since commit:
http://git.yoctoproject.org/cgit/cgit.cgi/poky/commit/meta/recipes-core/glibc?h=honister&id=51cf44884971d6fc919f2a799fb08ee61acf7518

but apparently this is not supported on i586 (needs i686+ apparently)

We could obviously do tune specific enablement, but that is messy.

perhaps we should just remove

EXTRA_OECONF_append_x86 = " --enable-cet"

and fix it for once.
