Description Phlip Balister 2022-01-16 16:46:08 UTC
Doing a clean build on a new install of F35 I found I had to install the following perl modules to culd oe-core. There are more needed for meta-qt5, but they should be specified by that layer. Note, this check really should be driven by the layer, but seems like it is in bitbake today, so this is where I filed the report.

For autoconf-native

perl-File-Compare
perl-File-Copy

For libxcrypt

perl-locale
perl-open

Sakib won't get to this so moving to unassigned.

Bulk move of 64 bugs to 4.3 M3 after a quick review.

Added Michael to CC in case he'd like to test this as part of the doc work...

I have a brand new Fedora 39 install and I am about to do a fresh build of master. Before I do this, any requests how you would like me to collect missing module information?

My process is install some layers and bitbake, run bitbake, install things that bitbake asks for before attempting a build, then debug build failures by installing modules that are not checked for.

Documenting my process for getting bitbake/master going on new Fedora 39 install.

After going through methodically, I am wondering if this should be addressed at the recipe level for autoconf-native and libxcrypt?

Bulk move of bugs owned by "unassigned" from 5.0-M2 to 5.0-M3.
