This might be related to calling dlopen() calls from python inside forked processes. Potentially, something like python thinking there are threads inside the forked process and trying to clean them up, e.g. looking for pthread_cancel() in libgcc It seems possible this is a race between when threads are created, and when processes are forked off. One way to try an track it down would be to track when threads are created in bitbake, and then log which threads are running when processes are forked off of bitbake to try and see any patterns.

I am seeing this problem again. I am not sure what triggered it because I changed to a faster HW, upgraded Python to v3.13.1, and started using poky from master (commit: 284a08b6e4076). I am not sure how to reproduce it because the failure is random. It looks like a concurrency problem. Please let me know if I can provide more information. I think this bug should be reopened.
There are a lot of different reasons an issue like this could occur. Rather than reopen a bug which was tracked down to a specific issue, I'd suggest opening a new one so that we can log the specific details of your situation. In order to look into it in any detail we will need more information as there isn't enough to go on right now. Are there any trackbacks in bitbake-cookerdaemon.log? I'm doubtful it is python 3.13 as mentioned elsewhere as we have autobuilder workers with python 3.13 on and it is working there.
