Description Ross Burton 2024-01-16 12:24:26 UTC
If I try to build binutils-cross for qemuloongarch64 then it fails:

configure: error: "unsupported target loongarch64-poky-linux-gnu"
Comment 1 Ross Burton 2024-01-16 12:24:47 UTC
Looks like this is because we build gold and gold doesn't support loongarch.
Comment 2 Randy MacLeod 2024-01-18 19:46:31 UTC
I have asked Zang Ruochen in email if he can work on this bug.
Comment 3 Ross Burton 2024-01-18 19:48:00 UTC
LDGOLD:libc-glibc:loongarch64 = "" looks like an acceptable workaround.
Comment 4 Stephen K Jolley 2024-01-19 23:43:04 UTC
No target to get info from.
Comment 5 Randy MacLeod 2024-04-25 01:23:52 UTC
Build move to 5.1
Comment 6 Randy MacLeod 2024-09-24 15:42:19 UTC
Still fails for poky/master=8634e46b4040b6008410b6d77fecb5cbaec7e90e
Comment 7 Randy MacLeod 2025-05-01 14:07:06 UTC
Bulk move of all unassigned 5.2 medium importance bugs to 5.3.
Comment 8 Ross Burton 2025-10-17 16:58:10 UTC
binutils 2.44 no longer builds gold, so this is likely not a problem anymore.
