There're two DISTRO in the layer. First one is -dev and specifies PREFERRED_VERSION to be "git" for some packages, second one is -release and specifies PREFERRED_VERSION to actual version (1.1.131 in this particular case). bitbake distro-dev - OK bitbake distro-release - ERROR: packagename-1.1.131-r0 do_create_spdx: Recipe packagename is trying to change PV from '1.1.131' to 'git'. This will cause do_package_write_* failures since the incorrect data will be used and they will be unable to find the right workdir. `bitbake -c clean packagename` "solves" this particular issue however do_create_spdx fails on packages problematic package depends on with different error message: ERROR: packagename-git-r0 do_create_runtime_spdx: No SPDX file found for package some-container, False sstate:some-container:core2-64-oe-linux:git:r0:core2-64:11: sstate:some-container::git:r0::11: Same happens if -dev is build after -release. First one completed while second fails with do_create_spdx
Might be fixed by patchset that is in review.
