Description Alex Stewart 2024-04-09 14:15:20 UTC
This bug is against the opkg-utils repo here (https://git.yoctoproject.org/opkg-utils/).

The `opkg-feeds` script in that project provides an independent interface to manage opkg feed sources on a system. That script's `list` operation is supposed to parse the opkg configuration files for feed sources, and present them to the user via stdout. Since 0.6.2, this operation always prints no output, even if there are valid feed configurations.

The offending commit is 67994e62dc598282830385da75ba9b1abbbda941 [1]. When Petar changed the `sourceTypePattern` regex string, he also invalidated assumptions made elsewhere in the script about how the regex match groups correlate to the feed source information. (Basically, he changed the number and order of the groups.) Though the `list` operation still matches feed sources, it now doesn't understand how to parse them.

Reverting commit [1] resolves this bug. But I assume it would also break Petar's use-case.

NOTE: There is a sketchy test for the opkg-feed script at `:/tests/testOpkgFeedManagement.sh`. But it didn't pass even before this regression and it is not very helpful for debugging :(.
