Currently config.sub means we can't have any addition "-" characters in then TARGET_VENDOR field so we're limited to triplets of the form ARCH-VENDOR-linux. It would be worth investigating whether we can relax this constraint and allow more readable target vendors (particular for multilib).

We're unlikely to fix this as there are likely too many hardcoded assumptions, close.
