Description Alexandre Belloni 2024-06-27 13:43:37 UTC
Toaster tests have been failing on fedora 40 (this seems reproducible):

https://autobuilder.yoctoproject.org/typhoon/#/builders/161/builds/328/steps/11/logs/stdio

https://autobuilder.yoctoproject.org/typhoon/#/builders/161/builds/334/steps/11/logs/stdio

I believe the actual error is selenium crashing:

> raise exception_class(message, screen, stacktrace)
E selenium.common.exceptions.WebDriverException: Message: tab crashed
E (Session info: chrome-headless-shell=126.0.6478.126)

But, later on, we also see:

> raise RuntimeError(f"Can't initialize toaster. {message}")
E RuntimeError: Can't initialize toaster. Port 8000 occupied by python3 /home/pokybuild/yocto-worker/toaster/build/bitbake/bin/../lib/toaster/manage.py runserver --noreload localhost:8000

This one is fedora 39

Comment 5 Randy MacLeod 2024-06-27 14:46:05 UTC
Happens on Fedora 39 and later.
Tim is going to forward this bug to the people who worked on the toaster tests using selenium.
Comment 11 Randy MacLeod 2024-07-18 15:04:12 UTC
Alex will send a patch to restrict these tests from running on the fedora workers.
Comment 14 Richard Purdie 2024-08-28 22:40:09 UTC
Removing the AB-INT tag since we disabled toaster testing on fedora39/fedora40 on the autobuilder until this is resolved.
Comment 15 Randy MacLeod 2026-05-28 13:31:11 UTC
David, we could have one of the new WR hires, work on this if you want.
Comment 16 David Reyna 2026-06-08 03:08:48 UTC
Hi Randy,

If you have an intern that has access to these Fedora hosts, I am happy to assist then with the Toaster part. We will learn the Selenium part together.
