Description Ben Sternthal 2024-11-27 17:28:52 UTC
This issue tracks creating and/or updating public facing documentation on Yocto Compatible. The intent of these updates is to inform requestors to the process so they know what to expect, where to go for updates, and who to contact if they need help.

Public documentation should be added https://git.yoctoproject.org/yocto-docs/

Hello Ben,

There is already some documentation available at https://docs.yoctoproject.org/dev-manual/layers.html#making-sure-your-layer-is-compatible-with-yocto-project. Should there be anything more to it? Perhaps a dedicated webpage about it instead of a section on the "Understanding and Creating Layers" page?

Upon review, I don’t think this is the right place to add additional information. If contributors who submit layers experience confusion, we may need to consider updating the website. However, for now, I believe we’re OK.
