This bug really applies to oe-core as well, since we need a better way to configure networking.
Comment 2 Trevor Woerner 2013-02-16 20:40:06 UTC
This enhancement request is very similar to the following mailing list
discussions:

[yocto] Need for offline binary configuration
https://lists.yoctoproject.org/pipermail/yocto/2012-November/012847.html

[OE-core] RFC: OE-Core image creation and deployment
http://lists.linuxtogo.org/pipermail/openembedded-core/2012-July/026938.html

Another bugzilla issue that is similar is #3252
Comment 3 Belen Barros Pena 2013-03-01 10:44:54 UTC
This is a perfectly valid feature request, but I wonder if our existing GTK Hob is the tool to deliver it. Hob was conceived with a limited scope: a simple tool to assist new Yocto Project users in the process of running simple builds (the kind of builds you start with).

I think we should consider tackling this on the web interface project.

Marking as needinfo in the meantime.

related to #3252
Comment 5 Belen Barros Pena 2014-05-14 16:31:05 UTC
At this point, work will take place on toaster, not hob, so marking as won't fix.
