Description Etienne Cordonnier 2025-03-05 15:17:08 UTC
opkg_conf.c contains this comment:
/* if no architectures were defined, then default all, noarch, and host architecture */

However, it does not really make sense to support the host architecture per default when doing cross-compilation builds. It should rather support the TARGET architecture per default.
Comment 1 Sermsity Sunil Kumar Dora 2026-09-27 14:03:48 UTC
This shows up on the autobuilder now that the reproducibility tests also run on ARM workers: libopkg1 and opkg-dbg differ between an x86 and an ARM build host, because the built-in default arch is "x86_64" on one and "aarch64" on the other.

Patch sent to the opkg list:

Merged to master in this commit.

https://git.yoctoproject.org/opkg/commit/?id=0682b36c898fb81a40a068481062512bcea9b66b

Should be fixed in the next minor release (either 0.11.0 or 0.10.1).
