In libcap, tarball tests exist: 


ls tests
b219174.c  exploit.c  libcap_launch_test.c  libcap_psx_test.c  Makefile  noop.c  psx_test.c  uns_test  uns_test.c  weaver.c  weaver.h


The libcap recipe could be extended to make these work in ptest.
