Description Tom Zanussi 2011-10-06 12:15:53 UTC
EMGD has video acceleration components that need to be enabled for crownbay and made available to any other BSPs that use EMGD.
Comment 1 Darren Hart 2011-10-14 12:05:49 UTC
Will bring in libva and other libraries that need to have recipes added.
Comment 2 Tom Zanussi 2011-11-01 08:58:50 UTC
Changed to M1 (will swap with 1678 in M1) and also made it 'normal' importance rather than enhancement because it's more important than than that.
Comment 3 Jiajun Xu 2011-11-22 08:02:52 UTC
To test the video acceleration, I would like to check if libva and other libraries are built into image. And then check if they are used when a video is being played.

Darren, Tom,
Do you think such testing is enough?
Comment 4 Tom Zanussi 2011-11-22 08:16:08 UTC
Do we already have test cases for video without acceleration? If so, the same tests can be done to check the acceleration case.

Thanks for your reply, Tom.
Yes, we have such case already. So I will use it for video acceleration tests also.

So Test Plan design is ready for the task.

Can you point me to those test cases? The last time I looked, there were only test cases that tested that video *didn't* work (for licensing issues I assume).
Comment 7 Jiajun Xu 2011-11-28 00:16:02 UTC
After discussed with Tom, current multimedia cases already cover the feature.
Comment 8 Jiajun Xu 2011-12-25 19:36:44 UTC
I checked 1.2_M1 branch, libva has been added into crownbay image.
