I'm getting the following with prelink-rtld when running it against util-linux's fdisk binary: ./prelink-rtld --root /srv/home/sgarman/poky/build/tmp/sysroots/qemux86 /srv/home/sgarman/poky/build/tmp/work/i586-poky-linux/util-linux-2.19.1-r12/packages-split/util-linux-fdisk/sbin/fdisk.util-linux prelink-rtld: dl-version.c:219: rtld_check_map_versions: Assertion `needed != ((void *)0)' failed. Aborted util-linux was built for qemux86. When I run the host's ldd against the binary, it appears to work properly: ldd /srv/home/sgarman/poky/build/tmp/work/i586-poky-linux/util-linux-2.19.1-r12/packages-split/util-linux-fdisk/sbin/fdisk.util-linux linux-gate.so.1 => (0xffffe000) libblkid.so.1 => not found libc.so.6 => /lib/libc.so.6 (0xf7609000) /lib/ld-linux.so.2 (0xf778e000) So my understanding is that this is likely a bug in prelink-rtld.
Possible solution to the issue: http://git.yoctoproject.org/cgit/cgit.cgi/poky-contrib/commit/?h=mhatle/prelink&id=6e19c2a90ed6e200ed72d5ad26f28831a5acb89d
This issue has been resolved in the cross-prelink upstream.
