Recently(maybe 1+ months already) , with ipk and deb packaging, meta-toolchain-gmae can't build. I decide to report 2 bugs for ipk/deb respectively since the cause seems different. This bug entry is for ipk. See bug 1870 for deb. BTW, core-image-sato-sdk builds fine for all of deb/rpm/ipk. I did the tests on my x86-64 Ubuntu 11.04. -------------- The ipk build log is: OE Build Configuration: BB_VERSION = "1.15.0" TARGET_ARCH = "i586" TARGET_OS = "linux" MACHINE = "qemux86" DISTRO = "poky" DISTRO_VERSION = "1.1+snapshot-20111226" TUNE_FEATURES = "m32 i586" TARGET_FPU = "" meta meta-yocto = "master:f5aa3bbda623c8fae3a761d72fddc95631ad0706" ... | Configuring libgm' | + for keyword_die in '"exit 1"' '"Collected errors"' ERR Fail | + for keyword_die in '"exit 1"' '"Collected errors"' ERR Fail | + for keyword_die in '"exit 1"' '"Collected errors"' ERR Fail | + for keyword_die in '"exit 1"' '"Collected errors"' ERR Fail | + echo 'log_check: There were error messages in the logfile' | log_check: There were error messages in the logfile | + echo -e 'log_check: Matched keyword: [Fail]\n' | log_check: Matched keyword: [Fail] log.do_populate_sdk shows: mkdir: cannot create directory `/var/lib/opkg': Permission denied mkdir: cannot create directory `/var/lib/opkg': Permission denied mkdir: cannot create directory `/var/lib/opkg': Permission denied mkdir: cannot create directory `/var/lib/opkg': Permission denied gtk-update-icon-cache: Failed to open file /usr/share/icons/DMZ-Black/.icon-theme.cache : Permission denied gtk-update-icon-cache: Failed to open file /usr/share/icons/DMZ-White/.icon-theme.cache : Permission denied
