Branch: Master CommitId: 0f4d99d207b224bb9ce23de00a48f795ae20b3a0 Currently, the m4 macro file "usr/share/acloal/pkg.m4" is placed in the package of pkgconfig-dev, not in the package of pkgconfig. This would cause configure failure if the user use meta-toolchain to cross-compile applications. In Ubuntu and Fedora, there is no pkgconfig-dev package. The m4 macro file should be included in the pkgconfig package.
Is there a reason that pkgconfig-dev can not be added to the toolchain task?
It's ok to add pkgconfig-nativesdk-dev into the task-sdk-host-nativesdk.bb, but i'm wondering why we have this package content different from the one in Ubuntu/Fedora.

only pkgconfig has the pkg.m4 file, pkgconfig-nativesdk missing it on latest poky/master:eb0cb7e8234f5d2e5623406e9660be91cf52f65e in 1.3_M2 rc1 test cycle, though saul's patch was already in the master.
Can you please confirm this again, I just checked the nativesdk build and file is there.
Confirmed that the pkg.m4 is included in the latest build. http://autobuilder.yoctoproject.org/pub/nightly/20120821-2/ipk/x86_64-nativesdk/pkgconfig-nativesdk_0.25-r4_x86_64-nativesdk.ipk
