In 1.2_M2 testing, x32 build will have error by reporting mismatch architecture for kernel. Nitin already has a fixing patch @ http://patches.openembedded.org/patch/19213/ but it has not been in master and 1.2_M2 branch.

That commit is already in the master branch.

Could you help to check if x32 build could work against master and verify the bug?

I use latest poky and meta-intel layer source to build x32, both build and boot successful.
