I use Ubuntu 11.10 on my development systems. Using Master Branch, I tried to make the documentation in poky-ref-manual directory. when I run make pdf DOC=poky-ref-manual from the poky/documentation directory, I got an error because the command xsltproc was not installed. After I installed that command, everything worked. We need to add that command to the list of prerequisites in the Quick Start Guide.
Added to the three package lists in the YP Quick Start. See http://www.yoctoproject.org/docs/latest/yocto-project-qs/yocto-project-qs.html for the published manual. Commmit ID 0d4bcdd965e208588bbe283594d9d9528b87bf54
somehow in the updating of the QS guide, the sudo dpkg-reconfigure got removed. It is still needed. I'm testing on a clean Ubuntu 11.10 system. The example will not run unless you do it. However, the doc build is fine now with the new package prerequisites. Jim A
sudo dpkg-reconfigure was removed and that change pushed to the master branch because it will not be needed for the upcoming release. This change needs to remain for the 'latest' version of the manual, which is the only version it is currently in.
