There are a ton of error messages which get emitted into the shell session from which you launch Hob. These should be cleaned up. Either redirect them to a log file or [ahem] fix the problems. Here is a representative sample: AttributeError: 'gtk.Notebook' object has no attribute 'show_indicator_icon' Traceback (most recent call last): File "/home/davest/poky/yp-beta/bitbake/lib/bb/ui/crumbs/builder.py", line 478, in packagelist_changed_cb self.package_details_page.refresh_selection() File "/home/davest/poky/yp-beta/bitbake/lib/bb/ui/crumbs/packageselectionpage.py", line 196, in refresh_selection self.ins.show_indicator_icon("Included", selected_packages_num)
Dave, which version are you using? I met that before just because some patches were not checked in by Richard. But now, I didn't see that issue.
I'm using the version which Song put in the instructions for the beta test. Here is the relevant instructions: $ wget http://git.yoctoproject.org/cgit/cgit.cgi/poky/snapshot/poky-8e9f6fc77ac4763f4ed1f6e7b720420c220ba6e2.tar.bz2 $ tar xjf poky-8e9f6fc77ac4763f4ed1f6e7b720420c220ba6e2.tar.bz2 $ mv poky-8e9f6fc77ac4763f4ed1f6e7b720420c220ba6e2 yp-beta $ source yp-beta/oe-init-build-env yp-beta-build
Beta program is using an old version of Hob. The reason of the error messages is Richard didn't check in the HobNotebook patch in that snapshot. After commit http://git.yoctoproject.org/cgit/cgit.cgi/poky/commit/?id=88bbc0ce562aa80d2b98c8b48d79a612b47ca852, again in M4 RC1, it doesn't have the issue.
