The variable IMAGE_CLASSES is named to be a list of items. However it causes failure in image.bbclass when there is more than one elements assigned or single element is preceeded by a blank due to syntax

IMAGE_CLASSES += "something"

The problem occurs in the inherit ${IMAGE_CLASSES} statement

Do you have the patch http://git.openembedded.org/bitbake/commit/?id=2568e9ace6e6f483e1bf2a9ef2f4d8318d6c85b7 applied to bitbake?
