Description Mark Hatle 2012-07-03 16:55:55 UTC
Currently the root user's home directory is '/home/root'... This is different then most Linux distributions.

It has been requested on the oe-core mailing list that it be possible to dynamically define the root user's home directory as part of the distribution configuration.

Any change to the root user's home directory must be matched in the handful of recipes that have specific root user knowledge. (A quick grep should find them.)

Steps:
#########
1. Add ROOT_HOME = "/root" to conf/local.conf
2. Build the image
3. Boot up the system and check the root home directory. The root user's home directory should be /root. And the 'passwd' command works fine.
