Description Mark Hatle 2012-09-10 18:18:47 UTC
The warnings only appear in the do_package log file, and not to the user directly. The warning:

.../build/tmp/sysroots/x86_64-linux/usr/lib/rpm/pythoneggs.py: No such file or directory

The pythoneggs.py is used to pull out individual python dependencies from .py files. This was intentionally disabled in the previous implementation of the RPM5 up rev, but the call was accidentally left in place.

This will not cause any problems on the user environment.

There was two possible solutions -- add support for the pythoneggs implementation, or simply disable it completely. Either solution should be discussed with the oe-core community to determine the best approach.

(Simply adding pythoneggs.py is not enough, there are some ancillary dependencies that will need to be added to the python recipe as well.)

We've dropped rpm5 support so this no longer applies.
