Description Ross Burton 2012-10-18 16:19:02 UTC
When building a package generally containing pre-stripped binaries, you'll get this warning:

WARNING: File '/usr/lib/libpvr2d.so' from cdv-pvr-driver was already stripped, this will prevent future debugging!

It should be possible to skip this warning as it's entirely expected when the package is a closed-source blob.

I think that add this to the recipe would fix the problem.

INHIBIT_PACKAGE_STRIP = "1"
Comment 2 Ross Burton 2012-10-26 13:03:58 UTC
Yes, that works.

Would it make sense to move that warning from the stripping code to an insane pass that runs before the stripping happens?

Yes, there is already a bug for this:

So I will close this one.
