This is with master branches: poky.git * master commit 8ce23f569584f195391bc5c68a780e1bf54e4360 meta-intel.git * master : commit 4e05f868bb8ab2fd80b510a6bee30795e634655d
The upgrade of gstreamer-vaapi from 2.9 to 3.8 may have gotten rid of the ffmpeg dependencies: commit cc29b9947c37f668a5d57f0afdf0c05edc7cf363 Author: Ross Burton <ross.burton@intel.com> Date: Wed Oct 17 16:21:18 2012 +0100 gstreamer-vaapi: upgrade to 0.3.8, and remove ffmpeg dependencies But it seems to have brought along others, such as 'gstreamer-basevideo' from gst-plugins-bad. gstreamer-basevideo may just need to be turned on in the gst-plugins-bad in the main metadata (or a .bbappend in meta-intel at this point), or it may mean that there's a whole new set of dependencies/new recipes that need to be created to get this to work again. I'm sure I had build-tested this stuff before pulling it in, and I'm pretty sure crownbay doesn't have this problem (not sure why it wouldn't though), am building crownbay again now to make doubly sure. Anyway, it may be we have to revert this until all the dependencies are sorted out (2.9 -> 3.8 is quite a jump.)
FYI, This issue is not present on Danny.
(In reply to comment #3) > FYI, This issue is not present on Danny. Hmm, are you sure? I saw it with poky/danny and meta-intel/master: meta-intel/master: 71619f5ef05a3ca3a2a6b19764f6a8a93f011d67 poky/danny: 48363d5a0012191317d15e9ce9badd1e6b8437ea
Tom, I used Danny branches of both poky & meta-intel. So this narrows the issue in the meta-intel master branch.
I'd clearly build-tested it but there must be missing build-dependencies. I'll look at this shortly.
Nice and simple missing build-deps, patch sent.
