Environment: Ubuntu 12.04.1 LTS on a i686 virtual machine, Poky master branch with last pull on 11-02-2012. Steps to Reproduce: I followed the instructions from sections 2.1.1.1 and 2.1.1.2 to produce and unpack the ADT Installer tarball. In the resulting ADT Installer, the default YOCTOADT_REPO is set to "http://adtrepo.yoctoproject.org/1.3+snapshot". This repository does not yet exist. Changing the YOCTOADT_REPO variable to "http://adtrepo.yoctoproject.org/1.3" allowed the adt-installer script to continue, but the install again had errors when creating opkg. I similarily had to edit the adt-installer/opkg/conf/opkg-sdk-i686.conf configuration to change the line: src yp-i686-nativesdk http://adtrepo.yoctoproject.org/1.3+snapshot/adt-ipk/i686-nativesdk to: src yp-i686-nativesdk http://adtrepo.yoctoproject.org/1.3+snapshot/adt-ipk/i686-nativesdk Suggested resolution: Either change "1.3+snapshot" to "1.3" in the two listed configuration files or create the 1.3+snapshot repository.
just use adt_installer.tar.bz2 from: http://autobuilder.yoctoproject.org/pub/nightly/20121102-2/adt_installer-QA/ YOCTOADT_REPO and configuration of opkg-sdk-i686.conf are correct.
As Li pointed for the release, please use the release built adt-installer. For master, the repo is not setup yet, but will be setup.
Thank you for the explanation. However, as a new user of the Yocto Project tools my first assumption when I followed the latest instructions in the ADT Manual was that I did something wrong, not that the master repo had not yet been setup. If it will be a while before the master setup is complete, would it make sense to have a note in the instructions of the ADT Manual (somewhere in section 2.1.1)?
