This issue we observed on Host side . Not in the Qemu target dmesg. when ever we run command : runqemu qemuarm zImage-qemuarm.bin core-image-sato-qemuarm.ext3 it is displaying errors on the console. please check error messages .
As i investigated the problem today, i found some interesting facts: 1. runqemu qemuarm *image* runs with "audio" option somehow activated and that is why the errors come up. If you do the same thing in a qemux86 image, the same errors appear. Something that i do not figure out is why the qemuarm run has that option, but the qemux86 not. 2. "alsa" is taken as default in runqemu script for QEMU_AUDIO_DRV which is not a good option, because it only supports one client. That means, if you start a music application and you want to start a runqemu, it will output that the device is busy. A solution to this is adding pulseaudio instead of alsa in the backend of runqemu.
I ran the qemu command without using the runqemu script like : sudo /home/adinu/work/poky4/poky/build/tmp/sysroots/x86_64-linux/usr/bin/qemu-system-arm -kernel /home/adinu/work/poky4/poky/build/tmp/deploy/images/zImage-qemuarm.bin -net nic,vlan=0 -net tap,vlan=0,ifname=tap0,script=no,downscript=no -M versatilepb -hda /home/adinu/work/poky4/poky/build/tmp/deploy/images/core-image-sato-qemuarm.ext3 -no-reboot -show-cursor -usb -usbdevice wacom-tablet -no-reboot -m 128 --append "root=/dev/sda rw console=ttyAMA0,115200 console=tty ip=192.168.7.2::192.168.7.1:255.255.255.0 mem=128M highres=off " the errors appeared again. When running for a x86 image, the errors appear only if the argument -soundhw is set, which is ok. I sent a mail to qemu-devel to find out if this is a known issue and waiting for their reply. It's clearly not from the runqemu script.
