Description Alexandru Georgescu 2012-12-05 12:47:56 UTC
ENVIRONMENT USED:
Host machine: only on Ubuntu 11.10 64 bit and 10.04 64bit. It does NOT reproduce on newer versions like 12.04 or Fedora 17 machines.
COMMIT: 247b6a3754c2c50318e2a73d79981ba0e9cb560b
adt_installer: http://autobuilder.yoctoproject.org/pub/nightly/20121128-1/adt_installer-QA/

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Download adt_installer and install it in other path than the default e.g.: "./sdk" for ARM
2. after installation succeeded, verify the aclocal in the sysroot under the toolchain. For ex:
"/home/yocto/nightly-1126/adt-installer/sdk/sysroots/x86_64-pokysdk-linux/usr/bin/aclocal"
3. Search for the following parameter values:
my @automake_includes =
my @system_includes =

EXPECTED RESULT
3:
my @automake_includes = ("/home/lserban/nightly-1128/adt-installer/sdk/sysroots/x86_64-pokysdk-linux/usr/share/aclocal-$APIVERSION");
my @system_includes = ('/home/lserban/nightly-1128/adt-installer/sdk/sysroots/x86_64-pokysdk-linux/usr/share/aclocal');

ACTUAL RESULT
3.
my @automake_includes = ("/opt/poky/1.3+snapshot/sysroots/x86_64-pokysdk-linux/usr/share/aclocal-$APIVERSION");
my @system_includes = ('/opt/poky/1.3+snapshot/sysroots/x86_64-pokysdk-linux/usr/share/aclocal');
Comment 1 Laurentiu Palcu 2012-12-06 13:19:28 UTC
It looks like older versions of 'file' do not return the "ASCII" text in the output for a script file. Hence, the regex pattern didn't match scripts and they were not getting relocated at all on older distributions...

Fix sent on the mailing list.
