syslog.conf

I understand this was fixed. I reproduced it with branch:poky-contrib commit: sgarman/denzil-next-pull4

As per decisions in mail "New workflow for bugs targeted to previous builds" I am opening a new bug under 1.2.2 version as the original bug is under 1.3 .

Currently the syslog.conf file contains tabs / spaces, within the selector field. (current syslog.conf attached). On LSB images (afaik), where sysklogd is used, syslog is not creating /var/log/messages and, on restart, syslog reports errors of unknown facilities or priorities (e.g. noone, noice, new).

Tabs or spaces should be used in syslog.conf only when separating selectors from actions. From sysklogd's syslog.conf.5 man page:
