Description scanli 2013-01-13 03:11:45 UTC
I'm buildding a custom rootfs with yocto and Linaro binary toolchain as "https://wiki.linaro.org/KenWerner/Sandbox/OpenEmbedded-Core" guides ,my
Build Configuration:
BB_VERSION        = "1.16.0"
TARGET_ARCH       = "arm"
TARGET_OS         = "linux-gnueabi"
MACHINE           = "genericarmv7a"
DISTRO_VERSION    = "oe-core.0"
TUNE_FEATURES     = "armv7a vfp"
TARGET_FPU        = "vfp"
meta
meta-hob          = "<unknown>:<unknown>"
meta-oe           = "master:ae2926ef202541014cde7c91a9ff75ed8b4eb390"
meta-baryon       = "master:ad1dfa139195f39a72b8e0fb47de5c3339397b8b"
meta-linaro
toolchain-layer   = "master:ae2926ef202541014cde7c91a9ff75ed8b4eb390"

but I fauilred at compile nfs-utils-1.2.3,the error messages are:

usr/bin/ld: fatal error: /home/ljc/gcc-linaro-arm-linux-gnueabihf-2012.08-20120827_linux/arm-linux-gnueabihf/lib/libgcc_s.so.1: unsupported ELF machine number 40
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
make[2]: *** [testlk] Error 1

as well as fauilred at compile libvpx-0.9.5,the error messages are:

Configuring selected codecs
  enabling vp8_encoder
  enabling vp8_decoder
Configuring for target 'armv7-linux-gcc'
  enabling armv7
  enabling armv6
  enabling armv5te
  enabling fast_unaligned
Toolchain is unable to link executables

I don't think this is a problem in OE-Core or in the Yocto Project, please take this issue up with the Linaro people.
