During ELCE Saul commented that it's not easy to find the latest release on the new downloads page. When I look at it I find my eye drawn immediately down to the list of downloads which currently starts with BSPs, skipping over the link above that. actions: change the type “GUI Development Tools” to just “Tools” remove filters on the left - no one realizes they are filters create a variable “current” that right now contains the value 1.3 create a new field in Downloads: YP Release add column for YP Release create two tables on the landing page, top one is for core tools (type=Yocto Project | Tools), bottom one is for BSPs (type=BSP) change landing page to only show items where YP Release = current create page downloads/archive that shows all items, current or otherwise regularize versions [Jefro] Bloom notes, phase 2: flag for each of the three project types (yocto, tools, bsp) for “CURRENT” - one flag per type Group the view by types: one table per type. take type column out. take link column out (link comes out from title) Archive with everything (like it is now). new dl page is top current of each cat in one list Break into two tables, yoctoproject+tools and BSPs.
See if we can have the downloads table span both columns.
Multiple tables is a good thing to throw at a company like Superstar.
I've done some preliminary work on this and it's ready for initial review: https://www.yoctodev.org/downloads I didn't notice at first that you wanted to include current releases in the archive. We can change that, but I'd like to look it over as-is before we do.
Increase the size of the table headers Remove the Category block.
I've made the heading more prominent on the tables, so this is ready for visual review and can be moved to production, but first we'll need to either: * Place the YP-Compatible image, which I don't have yet * Leave out the YP-Compatible column until we have an image * Leave in the YP-Compatible column and finalize the labels. The view shouldn't be made public until all the disk-based changes are pushed to Prod.
Minimum image 54 pixels ... place image in the column, link to the compliance program: /ecosystem/yocto-project-compliance-program No header label necessary.
The new downloads page has been deployed to production and awaits final review.
