Description Jeff Osier-Mixon 2013-01-17 00:32:59 UTC
Disappearing Menus:
what is overall menu strategy? [Grant] (Melissa: Several content types don’t display the menu, and some are placed with context on a section-by-section basis … it seems clearer to add that second level menu block to all node types that need it.)

Identify what the parent menu item should be for each node types. [Jeff]

Visit https://www.yoctoproject.org/tools-resources/events and click on either event. The menu vanishes but it shouldn't.

As new content types are added to the site, the context to place the sub-menu needs to be updated for the content type.

As far as I can tell most of the issue here is that when a new content type is created, if it's not going to attached to a menu on the node edit page, it needs to be configured as follows:

Structure > Menu Position Rule > + Add Menu Position Rule

Once the Menu Position Rules exist, they can be re-arranged via the Main Menu drag and drop list.

I've corrected Events, and

No web content bugs should have a quarterly milestone.

Melissa fixed this for existing content types.
