branch: master commit: 7d22ef28e64de06b6238d0ef9b664c0bee6efa46 Steps to reproduce: Boot core-image-sato-sugarbay 1. open connman-properties 2. set Ethernet to Manual IP address 3. Set System Configuration to offline-mode 4. Set Wired Network to enabled 5. Set Ethernet to DHCP 6. set System Configuration to online-mode 7. go to Ethernet tab *Notice connman-properties window closes. *dmesg output: segfault at 0 ip 00007f00a5f18f37 sp 00007fff5a913fe8 error 4 in libc-2.17.so[7f00a5df6000+1a7000 *Note that when altering these actions a little(messing around inside connman-properties) the system would get in a state where user could not change the IP address anymore, even after restarting the system. I could not get a 100% reproducible scenario though.
The scenario fails only in networks that don't have a DHCP server configured.
Put into standby since we are considering changing the connman-UI for Yocto 1.5 Release.
Investigation in progress.
Hi Cornel, Please clarify this: At step 2 (during the reproducing procedure) do you enter valid info for manual IP address setup or you just leave the settings blank and hit apply? Thanks, Cristian
Please set valid data to reproduce. I did not test with invalid data.
