This issue is same with bug 3937, but for 1.3.1 branch. So I file a new bug.

The watchdog doesn't work, it can not restart the system.

Steps:
#########
1. Boot up the system
2. echo 1 > /dev/watchdog
3. After some seconds, the system should restart.

Accepting this for now. But resource to look into it still needs to be identified.

I'd like to add here that similar to Bug 3937 (on branch master), I've tested this on a BeagleBoard with kernel 3.4.11 (on branch danny) as mentioned here. Watchdog is working as expected. Couldn't reproduce the issue.
