ECLIPSE PLUGIN:   http://autobuilder.yoctoproject.org/pub/nightly/20130226-2/eclipse-plugin/juno/
poky:98292d1ef1cb44cf96f0a28fbca6439eda55ce1b

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
1. Install the standalone toolchain, source the environment and extract the QEMU image.
2. Install Eclipse plugin for 1.3.1.
3. Configure yocto project settings with the standalone toolchain, sysroot and kernel insalled in steps 1.
4. Create a new Clutter C project
5. Reconfigure project

EXPECTED RESULTS:
5. Reconfigure is successful. The user can not build the project

ACTUAL RESULTS:
5. Reconfigure fails. The following error appears in eclipse-plugin "Problems" tab:
Description	Resource	Path	Location	Type
configure: error: Package requirements (glib-2.0 clutter-1.0) were not met	zxczcx -1	Configure Problem
Comment 1 Alexandru Georgescu 2013-03-07 12:59:22 UTC
On the bug descrpition, the toolchain uses i586 arch and the Sysroot is for x86-64 arch. The bug reproduces with the same arch for both Sysroot and Toolchain.
Comment 2 Ioana Grigoropol 2013-03-08 11:14:12 UTC
I have managed to reproduce the bug using a standalone toolchain built using

 MACHINE=qemux86-64 bitbake -c populate_sdk core-image-sato

It seems that clutter is not provided by either core-image-sato or core-image-sato-sdk. I have manually added it to the image by using CORE_IMAGE_EXTRA_INSTALL.
Nonetheless, the latest version for clutter is 1.8, and from Eclipse the plugin is configured to search for clutter-1.0.
Even after modifying the project configuration to look for the latest clutter, the reconfiguration fails due to pkg_config problem, see bug below:

https://bugzilla.yoctoproject.org/show_bug.cgi?id=3997
Comment 3 Ioana Grigoropol 2013-03-08 13:05:43 UTC
Some updates:

- after addin g clutter-1.8 to local.conf and running:

 MACHINE=qemux86-64 bitbake -c populate_sdk core-image-sato

I have re-extracted the sdk, and now the clutter can be found (clutter-1.0.pc exists under the sdk).
The bug does not reproduce in this case.
Comment 4 Ioana Grigoropol 2013-03-08 16:02:58 UTC
Ross, I saw that there were some recent changes to poky that remove a package from clutter (clutter-box2d).
Does this change remove clutter support from core-image-sato-sdk ?
I did a standalone build from the latest master using populate_sdk and found that clutter is not within the packages for this image.
Comment 5 Ross Burton 2013-03-12 00:00:18 UTC
As discussed on Jabber, changing the Clutter template to a GTK+ template seems like a good idea - GTK+ is in the Sato images unlike Clutter.
Comment 6 Ioana Grigoropol 2013-03-12 16:24:23 UTC
We decided to remove support for clutter projects in Eclipse due to the fact that clutter is no longer supported in core-image-sato and core-image-sato-sdk. As Ross suggested, gtk templates can be used instead.
Patch is sent to list for review.
